We strongly recommend you beat the queue at the interval by booking interval drinks in advance at any of our bars on your arrival. Your drinks will be waiting at a clearly signposted point close to the bars on the floor level corresponding with your tickets.
The Concert Hall offers a selection of bottled beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks in its stalls bar – The Kathleen Ferrier Bar, or the balcony bar – The Stargazers bar. Paying tribute to the great Lancashire Contralto, the Kathleen Ferrier Bar features exquisite wooden panelling whilst the Stargazers bar is a who’s who of acts to grace our stage with stunning views of the townscape. On busier evenings, a number of additional temporary café and bar points will be open throughout the complex.
The Windsor Suite boasts a selection of draught ale and lager in addition to bottled beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The walls of the Lancaster Bar are packed with a who’s who of acts that have graced our stages, surrounding you with history as you await and enjoy our current artists. On busier evenings, the Foyer bar will also be open.
Darwen Library Theatre’s café bar is the perfect place to come for a drink before a performance. Serving a selection of bottled beer, wines, spirits, soft drinks and confectionary, it is a natural setting to chat with friends and make new ones before enjoying a show.
BwDVenues is a responsible alcohol retailer and does use the Challenge 25 policy. If you are lucky enough to look young and fresh-faced, please keep some form of identification with you. If you are challenged and do not have any ID then our team will not be able to serve you.
Please note that only drinks purchased in our BwDVenue bars can be consumed on the premises. In accordance with our license, any drinks brought into the building will be removed by our staff.
