A historic return
The Hallé has a special connection with King George’s Hall. When the venue officially opened on 21 October 1921, the orchestra performed to an audience of almost 3,000 people.
Almost 105 years later, the Hallé returns to help celebrate another landmark moment following the major transformation of this much-loved Blackburn venue. Hosted by the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Councillor Mahfooz Hussain, the special event will begin with a drinks reception before the concert. (from 1pm)
With affordable tickets and free admission for children, this special afternoon concert is also a fantastic opportunity for families and younger audiences to experience the excitement of a live symphony orchestra.
