King George’s Hall in Blackburn have announced their brand new Classics Season for 2022/23 and, as well as some familiar events, this season sees the CBeebies Prom come to town. You can also enjoy the magic of James Bond Movies’ Music at a special concert.
The CBeebies Prom will feature the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and top CBeebies Presenters as they go on an Ocean Adventure at a special afternoon performance on Saturday 1st July 2023.
“Take a deep breath and dive underwater in our submarine with King George’s Hall and its musical crew, the BBC Philharmonic and top children’s TV presenters from CBeebies! Become a CBeebies Prommer and search for endangered creatures while collecting sounds and pictures for your very own musical ocean scrapbook. A musical ocean adventure for all the family.”
If you fancy some high paced action, the Hallé Orchestra, bring the music of James Bond to King George’s on Sun 14 May 2023 at 3pm.
“The name’s Bond and this concert is licensed to thrill! Britain’s iconic agent may forever be associated with vodka martinis, gleaming Aston Martins, state-of-the-art gadgetry and glamorous femme fatales, but it’s impossible to imagine him without the heroic swagger of the music that has driven 007’s movies for over 50 years. This concert brings together the finest Bond themes and songs from Dr.No and Goldfinger to Live and Let Die and Skyfall, performed as only a great orchestra can, and with two brilliant singers to both shake and stir you.”
The Hallé Orchestra & BBC Philharmonic will also bring three more events to KGH for the 2022/23 season.
