Featuring David Littler founding member of the original Westhoughton Weavers ,Paul Johnston formerly of Five Penny piece , Dave Mather from The Mather Robinson band and Anthony Quinn flautist extraordinaire !

This year David is celebrating 50 years on the road and says ‘it’s great working with Antony,Dave and Paul who really know how to entertain an audience by weaving a comfort blanket of FUN & FOLK throughout the evening leaving everyone wanting more.’
These talented musicians have come together with stories and songs to have an evening full of fun and laughter.
David started his musical career playing guitar with his first group The Waysiders. David became a member of Westhoughton amateur variety entertainment society (WAVES) as one of their guitarists and then in 1975 founded along with brother Denis Littler , Norman Prince and Tony Berry the Westhoughton Weavers , whom soon dropped the west and thanks to David and Denis’s mother were given a spot on a BBC North West talent show called ‘we’ll call you ‘. The Weavers first started their own BBC North West series ‘Sit thi Deawn ‘ which continued for 7 years .
David’s long career saw him appear with the group on countless Radio Shows , six pantomimes ,recorded at EMI Abbey road studios and in many the North West theatres for 49 years and now in his 50th year wishes to celebrate with his friends Paul Johnston who formerly appeared with Lancashire folk group Five Penny Piece , Dave Mather and Anthony Quinn who played at the Great British folk festival with the Mather Robinson Band .
The evening will contain many sing along favourites including The Blackpool Belle , Sit thi Deawn ( title track of the TV Show ) and Big Jim were a worm .
